In HCM City. The 13th International Water Supply, Sanitation, Water Resources, and Purification Exhibition (Vietwater) and the 15th International Processing and Packaging Exhibition (ProPak Vietnam) both kicked off on November 9 at the Sài Gn Exhibition and Convention Center.
The two international exhibitions and conferences are being hosted together for the first time in an effort to link the water management and processing industry and the packaging sector, two key sectors in the transition to a circular economy.
The co-location of the two shows, according to BT Tee, general director of Informa Markets Vietnam, the organizer, was done to ensure the sustainability of the processing and packaging sector, which is driven by sustainable water management.
For all enterprises, he said, concentrating on water management should always be the top priority in order to balance profitability and sustainable development objectives.
More than 400 exhibitors from 30 countries and territories participate in ProPak Vietnam, which features the newest trends and cutting-edge technology.
In 10 categories, including packaging and processing technology, print technology, materials, cold chain, logistics and warehousing, labeling, lab, and tests, it brings together diverse national and international market leaders.
The event is hosting a series of lectures on smart packaging design and food packaging technology for achieving sustainable development goals.
More than 250 businesses from 25 countries and territories, including Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, and Japan, participated in Vietwater, an annual event of the water sector in Vietnam.
It acts as a link for Vietnamese water supply and sewerage businesses to join the international water supply and sewerage sector.
The expo features displays of waste management and recycling, air cleaners and filters, environmental measuring and monitoring, industrial emissions control treatment technology, and equipment.
Along with that, it offers a number of expert seminars on municipal solid waste source separation and recycling technology, water management, smart governance of water resources for water security, sustainable development and climate resilience, and water tech 4.0.
The displays are on view until November 11.
